Familex products have long been part of the daily lives of many Quebec and Canadian families. Founded in 1928 by Roméo Parent and his wife Laurence Bissonnette, this Montreal-based company manufactured a wide range of household products such as medications, food essences, cosmetics, cleaning products and even insecticides. Until the early 1980s, hundreds of Familex representatives went door-to-door on city streets and country roads to offer housewives these products.

Discover the rich history of this company, its products, its industrial facilities and the men and women who contributed to its success.

Exhibition presented in French only.
